History

During the American Regime, a rich American Corporation engaged in logging business had constructed huge bodega for storage purposes, which the local residents called “ALMASIN”. The structure lasted long ever after the American is gone but it was destroyed by frequent strong typhoons. From that time on the original settlers referred to the place as “Inalmasinan” from the word “Almasin”.
This Barangay is located along the coastal area and transverse by the national road from Virac to Pandan. Many residents of this sitio transferred to the place because of its rich and fertile soil on the both side of the valley along Talahid River.
This area is also a producer of farm products like abaca, copra and laza (sugbo). People are engaged in farming, fishing, broom-making and cottage industry for a living.
The Patron Saint of barangay Inalmasinan is Sr. Divino Rustro which celebrated its Annual Fiesta every 6th to 7th of May.
Inalmasinan is considered one of the oldest sitio in the southern part of the Municipality of Caramoran. The early settlers were the family of Fortunato San Juan, the clans of Alano’s, Padayao’s, Rodriguez and Verano’s until it became an independent barrio in 1957.
