An Barangay konseho kan CAROLINA bilang sarong pusog, kumitido asin nagpapadangat sa saiyang mga konstituentes, kaibahan ang mga stakeholders bilang katuwang, masiguro na an mga plano sa tolong (3) taon mareyalisar.

History

Legend
It was believed that "Carolina" got its beautiful name from a woman named "Lina" together with her Calesa otherwise known as "Caro".

The oral legend says that Lina, a mestiza and a daughter of a Spanish bourgeois in Nueva Caceres, known now as "Naga" loved to visit the place, 13 kilometers away from the city proper, because of its popular scenic views and refreshing bodies of waters where she spend her time in enjoying the pleasure of what natures provide.

During her visit, Lina was always with her "Caro" where she began cultivating good relationship with the residents, and in return she was loved by them and was taken as one of the residents too. However, during World War II Lina ceased in visiting the place because her family migrated to other places.

In her absence, some foreign invaders had gone to this place and they tried to solicit from the people for the name of this place. Unable to understand them, the people thought they were looking for Lina. At this instance, someone replied that the "Caro" of Lina was no longer coming to this place. Later, the group of foreigners thought altogether that the name of this place is "Carolina", which has carried on up until now.

Today, Carolina is one of the most progressive barangays of Naga City. It has the largest land area with more or less 1,500 hectares and considered as an agricultural area, yet it has a number of classy resorts wherein swimming pools are filled with natural spring waters.

Business opportunities in the locality include the modern Casa Ofelia, Peñafrancia Resort, Rock Garden Resort that keep visitors in nearby places relax and refresh.

The local leadership is seriously undertaking development activities to further bolster its status as the premier tourist haven of Naga City and Bicol region.
