HISTORY

When World II broke out most of our countrymen searched for safest place to live in order to protect themselves from the abusive invaders.

They went to a place situated at the foot of Mt. Jormajan and Bulusan Volcano. This place is gifted with wonderful creation of God. It is abound with thick forest covered with tall and and huge trees that give off clean and cool air which sustain life. Its mountain offer a limitless land for food production. People tend to produce a variety of foods crops for their daily consumption and ever laon more income to purchase some basic needs of the family. It has long winding rivers teeming with fish. Its water is clean, fresh and clear crysta. It has also springs and brooks that supply potable water in every household in the barangay. The cradle of civilization begun in this site through the settlement of our forefathers. They took nefuge permanently. they built shanties and even propagated vegetable crops while they were waiting for the war to cease.

It took many years before the war had pacified our nation is free from the budage of slavery. The proclaimation of independence had attained. Those who had transfered to other places regressed to their own devellings to inhabit the land permanently. They small community then became big society. The people lived happily, peaceful and harmoniously with duly respect to one another. They held meetings where in they both agreed to elect a leader of their barangay. Majority also agreed to name the place for identification so that they would be able to call it by its name. They thought of naming it after its physical features. The name PUTINGSAPA was born, the word "PUTI ANG SAPA" means a river with clean crystal water. Putingsapa had became a sitio of Barangay Buraburan for such a long time. It happened that way because the previous administrators wre not able to devote more time and exert much effort to establish Putingsapa as a Barangay. When Mr. Archangel Gripon took the position of being a leader he worked had to segregate Putingsapa from Brgy. Buraburan. It was successfully achieved through the unselfish assistance of SB member William Haboc Sr. in processing the pertinent document for the registration of Putingsapa as a barangay of the municipality of Juban.

In 1970, Putingsapa was adopted and recognnized as alegitemate barangay of the Municipality of Juban through the effort of the late municipal mayor Frank P. San Jose Barangay Putingsapa is striving hard to attain prosperity to uplift its economy. It is aimming for the betterment of its community or constituents.
